RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

Standing behind Kobelco Compressors is over 35 years of manufacturing experience at Kobe Steel, which incorporates some of the finest engineering and manufacturing technology for compressors in the world. Products now manufactured by Kobelco Compressors in the US have been designed, produced and fully tested by Kobe Steel in Japan, thus ensuring their quality and reliable performance. Kobelco Compressors takes full advantage of its close links with its parent company to make use of some of Kobe Steel's important research and development achievements. For example, the Kobelco "Super Rotors" are 10-20% more power-efficient than conventional rotors and have been developed exclusively by Kobe Steel in Japan.

QUALITY CONTROL

Zeiss Coordinate Measuring Machines are used to provide unparalleled quality control capability and assure excellent repeatability. While many companies utilize similar machines for R&D and in special situations, Kobelco Compressors is one of the few companies in the world to use these machines for production as well.

All compressors manufactured at Kobelco Compressors are run-tested on air to verify that they function properly and fulfill their design capacities before they are shipped.
